Field Technician
Key Objectives:
- Primarily responsible for start-up repair, maintenance, modifications and troubleshooting for the data network, transmitter sites and related equipment following standard procedures and according to service contracts
- Provide measurable management status reports and maintain system documentation
- Preventative Maintenance of network sites and related equipment
- Solution-oriented; ability to work independently and exercise excellent judgment
- Provide follow-up action as required with reference to Field Service Trips
- Perform coverage and performance analysis for in-building coverage applications
- Support spares management programs
- Operate company vehicle with supply and equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated – calm under pressure
- Ability to work irregular hours (weekends, evenings, holidays)
- Occasional overnight travel
- A valid driver’s license for travel throughout Ontario
Education:
- Formal education in RF Technology, Wireless, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Data Communications or one to three years relevant industry experience with hands on construction and support of Radio Frequency transmission equipment
